Thierry Henry is widely considered one of the greatest strikers in football history. Born in France on August 17, 1977, Henry began his professional career with AS Monaco.
His career reached new heights after joining Arsenal in 1999. Under manager Arsène Wenger, Henry became Arsenal's all-time leading goalscorer and helped the club win major trophies.
He played a key role in Arsenal's famous "Invincibles" season of 2003-04, when the club completed the Premier League campaign without losing a match.
Henry later joined Barcelona, where he won the UEFA Champions League and other major honours.
At international level, he helped France win the 1998 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 2000.
Henry's speed, finishing ability, and football intelligence made him one of the most respected forwards of his generation.
